By harry crumb60 As indicated by the name on the box, the Rii is a mini keyboard. And what that actually means is that in physical terms, it's much smaller than a standard keyboard. Most typical PC keyboards are approximately 18 inches by 2 inches by 8 inches, however this unit is just 5.9in x 2.3 in x 0.5in and weighs a mere 3.2 ounces. It's light and small, which makes it perfect for individuals on the move because it's so convenient to bring with you. Typing is not difficult on this small unit, which fits easily between your hands.
You can use this mini keyboard with gaming systems like PS3 or wiki, and with personal computers and laptop computers. Wires are redundant with this mini keyboard's wireless capability, provided by a Bluetooth USB receiver, so you can easily connect to other wireless electronic gadgets. It has a full QWERTY keyboard and it also sports a touchpad, which is akin to those seen on laptops. In case the environment is dimly lit, the unit has 26 LED lights. The power supply has two rechargeable lithium ion batteries, which come with the unit. In terms of reviews, there are plenty on Amazon, for the most part with 4 or 5 stars. But possibly this device's first appearances are deceptive, because there are as well a few ratings falling between 1 and 3 stars. A maximum range of 30 ft for working reasonably well with his Ubuntu system was described by one product reviewer. Thirty feet is rather a good distance though. If you plan on using this keyboard for multimedia intents then you'll be happy to know that there are buttons for volume and playlist control. Sometimes, one wants a button that is not regularly required; it's great that this keyboard caters for some of those infrequent needs which can be frustrating if not met. However, as with anything, there are some drawbacks. What is a bit of an inconvenience on occasion is that the touchpad is not as exact as we are accustomed to with typical laptop computer touchpads. The touchpad likewise has problems with recognizing taps; even so, there are two mouse buttons, left and right, which can be used alternatively. There is a quirk with the QWERTY layout, in that the keys on the board are directly underneath each other, whereas they are staggered on a regular keyboard Eventhough it takes getting accustomed to, it is not a hassle. All in all, this device is a good device if you're searching for a smaller size that also has a mouse touchpad.
